Northey have supplied side channel blowers for over 20 years and currently offer three Elektror ranges to suit a wide range of duties and budgets.
Side channel blowers are generally supplied as close coupled units with the balanced impellor mounted directly onto the motor shaft. There is no need for a gearbox or any lubrication. This makes the units quiet and vibration free in operation and virtually maintenance free.
A variety of drive options are available across the ranges including belt driven and diesel engine. Acoustic hoods are available for further noise reduction. The main advantages include quiet, vibration-free operation; no contacting parts to wear; no lubrication or gears; and virtually maintenance free.
A sample list of applications include: Pneumatic conveying systems; Vacuum cleaning systems; Vacuum lifting; Air-cushion tables; Drying systems (Air Knife); Welding fume extraction; Dental equipment; Water treatment; Fish pond aeration; Shellfish Industry – Lorries and fixed tanks; and Vapour recovery.
Our RB range of blowers offer a competitively priced product for basic operations on air.
With flows up to 300 m3/hr and pressures up to 350mbarg these machines are close coupled and can be used for pressure or vacuum applications. As with all our products we can supply baseplates, instrumentation and commissioning if required. Units carry CE approval and are suitable for European voltages.
We can also offer a full range of accessories including filters, non-return valves, pressure relief valves and many more.
All prices are per unit, quantity discount available on request.
Elektror SD side channel blowers are directly driven by squirrel cage motors of Elektror’s own make. In addition, a range of models without motor is available for external drive by means of a V-belt or other drive elements.
All blower and motor parts are cast aluminium and therefore highly resistant to corrosion and have base plate and/or rubber feet for mounting in a horizontal or vertical position.
All side channel blowers can be built so that they are suitable for frequency converter operation (speed adjustable). The speed range may not exceed 50Hz in the 50Hz version and 60Hz in the 60Hz version. The technical data is identical to that of the standard versions. The converter is designed for mounting on the switch cabinet for separate frequency converter operation (type designation FU).
Blowers can also be supplied in bare-shaft version to allow OEMs to design them into their own equipment.
High Pressure and ATEX
For more advanced applications and use in hazardous areas the K range offers higher pressure and flow capabilities and Atex Zone 2 certification for certain models.
Flows up to 2000 m3/hr and pressures up to 750 mbarg are available with this range.
A variety of drive options are available including close coupled, belt drive and diesel engine. Blowers can also be supplied in bare-shaft version to allow OEMs to design them into their own equipment
The cast aluminium cast bodies can be anodised to handle corrosive gases.
