Contract Engineer

 

Job Description:                                

In addition to a range of dry and oil –free compressors and vacuum pumps manufactured in house the Company will package these for the end user. Such projects are between £20,000 and £2 million in value. The project engineer will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Preliminary design, estimating and preparation of tenders for engineering projects
  • Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects within budget and on time
  • Extensive regular contact with project clients
  • Negotiation of variations to contract
  • Occasional travel UK, offshore and overseas.

 

Desired skills and experience

  • Qualification at degree level or equivalent in engineering or process
  • Knowledge and ability to use AutoCAD and Solid Works or similar
  • Microsoft Office and manufacturing programmes
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering specifications
  • Practical ability to solve process and mechanical problems
  • A practical understanding of rotating machinery
  • Commercial acumen
  • Planning and budgeting
  • Project management
  • The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of engineering gained through an engineering degree and practical experience
  • Technical assistance and training given in areas where not qualified.

Area Sales Manager   

                                                         

Overview

With head offices in Poole, Dorset the company is a manufacturer and supplier of dry and oil-free compressors, vacuum pumps, high speed turbo blowers, side channel blowers and lubricated sliding vane machines.

High value tailor-made systems include complete skids with instrumentation and control for various applications including vent gas recovery, gas mixing and boosting for anaerobic digesters.

All customers are supported by a full repair and servicing facility providing 24/7 after sales support.

The Sales Manager will be based in Poole Dorset and will be responsible for the preparation of quotes and tenders, follow up and negotiation of order. In addition he or she will need to generate new sales leads, maintain contact with current and historical customers and maintain the data base.

The Company occasionally does roadshows, presentations and trade exhibitions and the sales manager will be responsible for the organisation and preparation of these.

 

It is envisaged that Approx. 20 % of the time will be spent in the office and 80% traveling throughout UK, occasionally overseas and offshore.
